Genetal WartDefinition The concept of beauty in the general sense is based on asmooth, silky skin with a smooth texture and colour. Blemishes of any kind, sometimes in the form of nevi or genetal or common warts, are considered to be very ugly and some people may be very conscious about them. Though some may consider them as "Beauty spots", in general and they are not really welcome. Warts are small epidermic growths caused by a virus. These growths may vary in size and shape and are commonly of four types:
Plane warts are the simplest of all warts. They are usually small, smooth and skin-coloured or brownish lesions which are raised slightly from the skin surface. They usually occur in the face and outer surface of the hands. They most frequently affect the children and some young adults. Causes of Genetal WartsGenetal warts are transmitted by sexual contact with an infected partner. Although much remains to be learned about how the papilloma virus progresses, doctors have observed that the warm, moist environment in the genital area seems to favor wart growth. Outbreaks appear to be exacerbated during pregnancy and in patients with defective immune systems. Symptoms of Genital WartSome of the genital wart symptoms include the following:
Treatment for Genetal WartsWhile seeking for treatment of genetal warts, it must be remembered that these warts may disappear on its own. Treatment for genital warts does not get rid of the HPV infection. A person treated for genital warts may still be able to transmit the infection. Genetal warts may be related to the development of cervical cancer. So if you have this type of warts, get them treated properly as soon as possible and have regular cervical smears. Salicylic acid plasters, Salicylic acid collodion Salactol and Duofilm are some of the common genetal wart remedies available. |
